Nominations Released – Peter Young Stakes 2013

Nominations have been announced for the 2013 Peter Young Stakes, which is due to run at Caulfield Racecourse this Saturday February 23, 2013.

17 horses have nominated for the 2013 Peter Young Stakes, which was formerly known as the St George Stakes.

Included in the 2013 Peter Young Stakes nominations is Western Australian galloper Mr Moet.

Mr Moet has won 12 of his 28 race starts and has earned more than $1.3 million in prize money during his horse racing career.

The five-year-old won the Group 1 Railway Stakes in Perth during the summer racing carnival, as well as the Group 2 CB Cox Stakes.

His only previous race start at Caulfield resulted in a gallant third placing in the Group 1 CF Orr Stakes behind All Too Hard and Mawingo on February 9, 2013.

The Mosayter gelding will attempt to go two better when he lines up for the 2013 Peter Young Stakes this weekend.

Also included in the 2013 Peter Young Stakes nominations is Wall Street.

The eight-year-old has won 11 of his 39 race starts and has earned close to $1.7 million in prize money during his career.

Wall Street’s laest result was a fourth placing in the CF Orr Stakes last start and he will be having his second autumn run in the 2013 Peter Young Stakes.

Also included in the 2013 Peter Young Stakes nominations are Éclair Surprise and Mawingo.
